This Is No Drill—WE Will Be The Heroes of This Story

Like the Nazis, there is no limit to their evil. We will see worse than we have ever seen. And we will defeat evil. Completely. And replace this hellhole scenario with the humane loving civilization we need.

This is a recap of what The Saners have to say and what history has told us. This is to clarify what’s happening and explain all the madness. This is what you need to know, and what you need to do. But first the most important message.

Let me repeat.

WE CAN WIN.

People power is a winning power-but we need TO EXERCISE PEOPLE POWER. The street protests were a start, a very good start. We woke up to the fact that we are feeling and experiencing the same horror—and that we are not alone.

The Hands Off protests weren’t a cry for help. And they weren’t the end. They were the beginning and we aren’t crying—we are ready to seize power. You and me and all of us.

Actually, we won’t be seizing power because we have always been the power. Our opponents? The despots, the criminals, the Nazis, the Fascists, the racists, the violent thugs—they look powerful but they are a tiny number of helpless fools. Their “power” is an illusion and one we will smash to smithereens in the coming weeks.

Yes, coming WEEKS—not months or years.

The Source and Application of People Power

Throughout history and up to today, all kinds of egomaniac, fools, thugs, losers and nitwits have exercised power-brutally-abusive power over great numbers of good people. They seem to get away with this all the time.

They do this, and they can do this for only one reason. One. We obey their orders and play by rules that favor them.

Our problem, our deadly flaw is obedience. We obey bad laws, follow bad rules, and go along with bad leaders. But the leaders have no power. They are nearly always impotent old men, men of no talent, men with fragile egos, men who are playing out their own personal psychoses in the wider world, with anger and hatred and lies and violence.

That’s Trump. That’s Mao. That’s Putin. That’s Hitler. That’s Mussolini. That’s Stalin. That’s Netanyahu. That’s Kim Jong Un.

And who else? That’s Salazar of Portugal. That’s Marcos of the Phillipines. That’s Ceausescu of Romania. That’s Jaruzelski of Poland. That’s Milosevic of Serbia. That’s Bolsonaro of Brazil.

That second list? All “strongmen” who were brutal thugs and murderers and seemed invincible.
And every one of them were defeated by ordinary sane, caring people like us. Without violence. With moral force and People Power.

What IS People Power

People power is our power to disobey, to follow our conscience. To obey only the law of love. Of caring for ourselves, each other, our planet.

Our power is that WE DO EVERYTHING. And our “powerful” opponents DO NOTHING.
Trump didn’t erect buildings in Manhattan. Musk didn’t design a car or a rocket or a satellite. Either of them would have trouble making a sandwich.

They are not creators. They are weak and they are frauds. They are full of bravado, but they are afraid. They are cowards. They have no qualities that could defeat us-once we decide not to cooperate.

Their only power is their armed enforcers and our foolish obedience to their terrible declarations, to their laws-both “real” and imagined.

We will weaken both. Starting today. Read on and see what YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW to speed the end of this ugly chapter of human history.

What YOU Can Do NOW.

Here are several things you can do right now, and why they matter.

1. 1. Join a group that’s part of today’s People Power Movement.
      This is a coalition. As long as the group is committed to nonviolent noncooperation to oust the current tyrants AND the tyrannical systems, just join. We do not need ideologically purity-especially since there are many different ways to organize a better civilization. We need to stop today’s horror as quickly as possible. Groups with links are included in this essay. The groups are not perfect (nobody is) and the list is not comprehensive. Just JOIN one. Or more than one.
   2. Talk with enforcers and weaken their fealty to the fascists and win their loyalty to The People.
      The fascists have enlisted our relatives, friends, spouses and other loved ones to protect them and support their evil cause. We must remind them about us, that we are The People and that the “leaders” have only one legitimate purpose: to represent us. And the leaders have failed catastrophically in their responsibilities and must be removed. And that police and National Guards and other armed public servants are here to SERVE THE PEOPLE and NOT to pacify us. In any case, we will never be pacified. We should regularly reach out to police and others who have similar jobs with kindness.
   3. Begin withdrawing cooperation with evil leaders and evil systems, starting slowly and subtly and, over time with larger numbers, become increasingly bold.
      You can start with quiet quitting. And there will be mild forms of tax resistance, and weak compliance with the rules which are less risky to start. We need to develop and share these tactics-an escalating series of tactics of increasing nonviolent noncooperation—culminating in a general strike and the end of fascism.
   4. Keep an eye on and prepare for what replaces the fascists.
      If we do our jobs, the current fascist regime has no hope to remain in power. None. But, we must be careful to also end fascism and other kinds of exploitation. We must not allow the emergence of a new boss who is as bad as the old boss. We must not disband after victory, but remain a force, the ultimate check and defense against tyranny. Any new leader must understand that if he gets out of line, we will quickly remove him. He must know that his role is to be our servant.

We need to have wave after wave of public protests—ideally, each should be bigger than the previous one. This is where we show our growing numbers and growing power. This is where we see each other, talk with each other, where we coalesce as a working coalition. Wonderful groups like Indivisible have been promoting and organizing some of these protests. We need to make sure everyone knows that victory is not only possible, but very, VERY achievable. Our adversaries already know this and they are afraid. But we have been told that our only choice is to hope that we can persuade our “leaders” to have mercy on us. That’s a lie. We have all the power and we only need to learn how to exercise it. At protests and in conversations, remind everyone how People Power has repeatedly defeated tyrants and humbled empires. Make and hold up signs reminding people of successful movements. Read about these successful movements yourself, so you better understand what we can do and how we can do it.

Decide what you personally can do now and do it. You will want to start slowly, taking on low risk actions. You may take on a support role-which is a critical role-for example, as a (part time) volunteer to help the General Strike movement even if you are not in the work force. Tune out the lies, and tune in the movement. Stop watching and listening to “the news.” These make you feel helpless and discourage action. They tell you that all you can do is vote and hope—when the truth is that you can do much more BY GOING BEYOND what is “permitted.” Minimize use of social media—use it to talk with distant friends and not much else. Instead, communicate with others who are exercising People Power-in person, if possible.

Get started. Today. Together we are undefeatable. We don’t need everybody. No movement began with everybody aboard. Every successful movement in history began with just a few passionate inspired people. Be one of them. We inspire wider support by taking action. That’s how we win.
