Urgent: Sign Up For General Strike US

This could be the kick off for a worldwide grassroots tsunami to prevent climate collapse and replace our really stupid, greedy, insane civilization with a workable loving one.

Well, I don’t consider anybody who’s trying to improve the world through nonviolent noncooperation a competitor to our group, The Saners. I welcome them as friends.

That’s my feeling about General Strike US.

Currently most visible as a website and a Discord group, this effort was created by some serious experienced and wise organizers who are tired of us wasting our time on ineffective methods to spark change. We all know that voting and various protests have failed-repeatedly.

We also know, when we think about it, that WE do all the work and that any thugs, dictators, plutocrats, authoritarian parties or any other assholes have ZERO power without our active cooperation.

This isn’t my idea. This is the reality, a truth discovered by Gandhi, King and thousands of others throughout history who promoted nonviolent noncooperation to protect human rights and to assert the power of people over would-be tyrants.

This is the idea that animates OUR movement, The Saners. And others who are becoming visible now.

Why I’m Excited About THIS Group and Project

Our group, The Saners, is designed to be an ongoing broad-based and worldwide movement. General Strike is focused on a single action in the United States-but a meaningful one that would awaken people everywhere to HOW WE CAN EFFECTIVELY ASSERT OUR POWER.

Yes, this is a movement focused only on the United States. But weakening totalitarianism here would weaken it everywhere. It would weaken Viktor Orban, Benjamin Netanyahu, Vladimir Putin and many, many other dangerous figures.

It would turn those individuals from a dangerous force that threatens millions and even billions of people-to a group of impotent old men who are a decade or two from death and ignonimity. Which is what they actually are.

A Coalition United on A Single Critical Objective

As it happens, I can’t find much (if anything) that our group, The Saners, doesn’t agree with in the platform of General Strike US. But any disagreement would be irrelevant because we need to unite on the biggest points-and on those we agree completely.

We agree that nonviolent noncooperation is THE tactic to assert people power, to disempower those people and systems that are destroying our climate and ruining the lives of billions through unlimited greed and power lust by a truly immoral few. We agree that we have the numbers to end tyranny and establish amity.

And we intend to MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

Other groups, ones that I have never heard of and seem small but smart, have agreed to become coalition partners of General Strike US. Our group, The Saners, will request that we be added to that list.

The Saners Aren’t Going Away

It will take a lot of people and many, many individual efforts to achieve the changes required to meet and defeat the polycrisis. The fools who are in positions of authority (for now) have put us in an awful situation.

The Saners has a very specific vision to restore dignity and meaning to the lives of humans everywhere. The Saners is committed to protecting, valuing, and respecting our Earth-the planet that evolved along with us and that sustains us.

We understand that our lives are short, and wasting the precious gift of consciousness in abject submission to fools is not acceptable. Nor is ongoing war against them, or anyone.

We will simply end evil by not doing its bidding. A few thousand old fools, without the help of ordinary people everywhere supporting them, are simply a few thousand old fools. They’ll need to learn to live with others in a spirit of peace and love. We will give them no choice.
