We Are Saners

We are a movement dedicated to harnessing nonviolent noncooperation to stabilize the climate and build a sane, caring civilization.

We The People Take Control

We The People Take Control

We have begun a series of protest which will culminate in putting The People into power.

We are turning the tables.

The truth is, and has always been, the power is with The People.

We are being terrorized by weak inept fools, confused and angry people who — ultimately — have no power over us.

They claim to be authorized by us to abuse us.

They send our relatives, friends, spouses, children and parents to do evil.

They send Federal Marshals to arrest judges.

They send ICE to kidnap people and ship them to foreign prisons.

They fire people that WE hired and paid to help us — workers at Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid.

They direct our tax money to people and institutions that kill and brutalize, and away from ones that help.

They invent and order new abuses every day, with the intent of overwhelming and breaking us, and consolidating their power.

But, this happens ONLY insofar as we — and our loved ones — do what cruel thugs demand.

That is ending.

Discovering Our Power

We are in the streets, repeatedly, with growing awareness and growing numbers.

Instead of being fearful, we are angry and resentful. This is a stage on the way to where we are headed. We are beginning to realize that WE, not they, are powerful, sensible, and in control.

We have a few obstacles to clear away:

  • Lingering loyalty to corrupt institutions and laws.
  • Confusion caused by endless gaslighting and lies which we are learning to ignore — or ridicule.
  • The illusion of their power and our weakness when the reality is that WE do everything and they are powerless without our obedience and active support.

Of course, we have internalized ideas that have — up to now — kept us essentially enslaved.

  • That votes legitimize leaders who violate our inalienable rights.
  • That wealth produced by our labor and seized by others is earned by them.
  • That we need unanimity to successfully oppose our oppressors — when the reality is that successful revolutions always start with a few brave people saying: no, this ends now.
  • That we need to play by rules favoring our opponents, forgetting that WE are the rule makers and that those brutalizing us were selected to be public servants — and that they failed catastrophically at their jobs.

We will fire them, and henceforth reassert and retain our power, never again submitting to tyrants.

Work To Do

We need to, and will disempower current and any future “leaders” who fail to protect our rights, who try to abuse us, or who stupidly and selfishly attempt to take control.

But we have a bigger positive agenda.

We care about the wellbeing of all people everywhere. We will do what it takes to ensure that people are fed and cared for across the planet.

We will stabilize the climate of our damaged Earth, and — guided by experts — re-wild great swaths of land and sea, and heal the biosphere.

Ending the busywork that wasted billions of lives in servitude to undeserving elites, we will create a humane civilization. We will finally realize the potential of our species.

Community and Meaning

When our only work is taking care of ourselves and others, when never-ending for-profit servitude becomes a distant nightmare, we will finally live as full and complete human beings.

We will have so much more time and energy to be ourselves, to do what we choose — and there will be so many wonderful things to do.

Once we recognize that time — not stuff, or god help us, money! — is true wealth, we will use our time as it should be used.

We will express ourselves in art and music and storytelling — both creating and consuming the arts for its own sake. As social beings, we will spend time playing and enjoying the company of friends, relatives, other loved ones and, yes, amiable strangers.

The absurdity of thinking or treating anyone as “the other” will be gone.

We will spend time in Nature, enjoying our beautiful planet, as we take care of Mother Earth as she should be.

We will contemplate the stars and the universe and our place in it. We will remain mortal and experience the challenge of impermanence. We will still know sadness.

But we will live all the days of our lives.
