As you know, even though it’s under-reported, people are in the streets in increasing numbers by the week. There is an ongoing series of protests, nationally here in the United States. And there is similar unrest elsewhere.

People everywhere are recognizing not only that we are all being exploited cruelly by tiny elites — we realize that We have the numbers and the real power.

Why? Because WE do everything and our adversaries do nothing. They are wholly 100% dependent on us. We build their buildings and fight their wars.

And we exploit ourselves and each other at their behest — as paid mercenaries of ICE and other disgusting Quisling behavior.

Ah, but we are standing up. We will tell our relatives and friends to NOT cooperate with or help the fascist government or any brutal regime anywhere. Don’t do their dirty work.

Let 78 year old overweight and senile Donald Trump personally round up brown people he doesn’t like. Let Kristi Noem fly the plane to El Salvador. Let Pete Hegseth put down the bottle for a second and carry out threats against Greenland, Mexico and Canada with his own life on the line.

But of course, they are lazy and cowardly and lack any ability whatsoever.

That’s why we can win — easily — and we don’t require complete unity. History shows that 3.5% of a population is all it takes to start an effective and often unstoppable movement.

We are nearing that now.

But we need to light the fire of nonviolent noncooperation. What will light the spark? Well, our own caring and determination and love for humanity and our planet.

And MUSIC.

The Song We Sing Together

It doesn’t always require a rocking anthem. “We Shall Overcome” did the job for the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s.

But it looks like the song for this movement and this moment IS a killer rocking knock out barn burner. If you haven’t heard it yet, I proudly present “Who Will Stand With Us?” by the Dropkick Murphys. This song must be played and sung at every protest in every community right down to tiny groups in the reddest states.
